Brian Anderson

So far I think Brian Anderson has done a great job filling in for Joe Magrane. He's been insightful and he doesn't try too hard to be funny. And that's all I really ask from an analyst.

By the way, Garza is a badass and he has without question the best stuff on the staff, and maybe even in baseball. Thank you Andrew Friedman for making that trade. And Cliff Floyd continues his assualt on the ball and his knees.

on your point about Garza

Maybe I should have made my own post about this but I just want to piggyback off of your thought. Let’s just go with the notion that the Rays are making the post season in some form. If you are able to make the call for game 1, does Garza get the start for you. For my money, it has to be either he or Shields with Kazmir in game 3 regardless. Throughout the year it has been shown that no matter what, Shields has to throw at home so that locks him into game 1 or 2.

Kazmir over the past handful of starts has single-handedly put our bullpen to the point that Garza had to pitch 9 innings in Texas Friday night. If I had the call on upside alone, I have to give the ball to Garza, maybe it is just a reactionary after tonight, but seeing all 3 at their best, Garza is the guy with the best stuff.

no garza in game 1 if there is one

the playoff rotation will be kaz, shields and garza

garza may have the best stuff on the staff but i cant see them changing the rotation to put garza in as the 1 or 2 starter

Longo=ROY. Friedman=Executive of the year. Maddon=Manager of the year. Gabe Gross= clutch.

Brian Anderson has been decent

Taking awhile to get used to his voice. Also he seems to talk a hell of alot more then Joe or Dewayne. I will tell you he knows his stuff and he still is a little nervous kind of like when Drew Carey took over the Price is Right. At least he does not bust out corny stuff like Joe Magrane but sometimes I enjoy it. However I do miss Magrane’s familiarity and when he is serious about the topic he is one of the best out there. Joe and Dewayne are as big a part of the TEAM as anyone. Brian Anderson is a nice fill in who I am sure will get comfortable with more Television Reps.
