UPDATE: 7 PM: Manager Joe Maddon also said the talk went well, but he said it was not automatic that Upton would return to the lineup on Sunday, that he was “still considering” extending the discipline for another day. Maddon said he was more disappointed than upset with Upton, and that he does not expect there to be any further issues.
