is it just me?

or do you think this is  the most important series left in the season

the angels being the team with the best record in baseball have now lost topnight to the rays and i think the rays need to keep these opening inning bursts going.

i believe these 2 teams will meet again...in late october as a matter of fact'

al championship....these two teams are insane right now it just depends on homefield and injuries...but again go rays

It's just you

If and until we guarantee ourselves a postseason shot, every series from here on out will be our most important of the season. Here is why.

yup definetly just you

the mets had a 7 game lead with 17 games to go last year and missed the playoffs so im just takeing this game to game because you never know what is going to happen

Longo=ROY. Friedman=Executive of the year. Maddon=Manager of the year. Gabe Gross= clutch.

I can't crown us just yet...

but this series will do alot for the team and the doubters…. just like the last away series.

September will tell all. We all should know that by know. BOS and NYY for ALMOST the ENTIRE month….

The thing is though… we shouldn’t be scared… we should expect to win and hopefully our play gets us as many wins as many as we can…

I like thinking about post season… if this is a dream… I don’t wanna wake up!

All things LONGORIA!

If the season ended right now

Angels vs Red Sox Angels vs Rays = rays
Rays vs White Sox

Cubs vs Dodgers Cubs vs Brewers = Cubs
Brewers vs Mets

Cubs vs Rays in World Series. Tough one to call but we did sweep the Cubs at home.

Even if we are fortunate enough to make the postseason, remember that the regular season means NOTHING

2007 Colorado took 2 of 3 from Boston, in Boston
2007 Cleveland was 0-6 against the Yankees

Try not to read too much into head to head records

No, it's not....

This is not the most important series for the rest of the year. It is, without a doubt, the 9/15 – 9/17 home series against Boston. If either team sweeps, that team is almost a certainty to win the division and the other team could very well be out of the wild card.

The second most important series to go is the one right after it: 9/18 – 9/21 against Minnesota. The Twins are right there in the wild card chase and four games could decide that as well.

I think we should play them one game at a time.

We can’t look past [fill in team]. They’re a strong team, with professional players who give professional at bats, and a pitching staft that has been [going great] [having some bad luck].

We know they’re good, but so are we. We all put on our pants one leg at a time [except for [fill in blank] who [insert incendiary remark]]

We’re just happy to be where we are, and we are going to bust our butts to stay here. We need the support from all you fans. We don’t want anyone coming into our house and [insert non-incendiary remark.] Without you guys yelling for us, we wouldn’t be anywhere close to where we are now.

And I gotta thank that DRaysBay blog, because without them …. Naw, better leave that out.

I say collect as many wins as possible from every team in the way

Don’t overlook Toronto, Baltimore, or the Yankees on the schedule. Don’t forget that the White Sox are in the way this weekend. Don’t place any more importance on one series over another.
