The 2008 Scouting Report, By The Fans, For The Fans
For the sixth year in a row, I am once again asking for hardcore baseball fans to participate in the annual Scouting Report project, in which you evaluate the fielding characteristics of players on your team. If you have a few minutes, please drop by and evaluate your team.
UPDATE: If you entered data between the start of the poll 2 days ago and Aug 20, Wed, 2pm ET, please re-enter your data for this player only: Iwamura, Akinori . I apologize for the inconvenience.

The 07 grade for Upton??
His hands are 64? Are you kidding me?

I guess it depends on
whether you’re rating his hands as an infielder or an outfielder. As an infielder, he’s no better than a 2. As an outfielder, well I haven’t seen him bobble too many plays.

This is one of the coolest surveys out there. I encourage all Rays fans to participate
It’s a lot of fun to look through last year’s ratings, find the most similar players to each fielder, and look at the rankings by position.
Tango also has a pretty need way to convert the fan ratings into fielding runs, valuing each of the seven skills differently for each position (arm is more important for SS than 2B and speed is more important in the OF, etc.).

Thanks
Thanks for the comments and support guys.
As for the server error, it is the one thing I hate the most about the internet. I would hope that if you hit the back button and resubmitted, it would have worked out fine.

Name change
One of the Angels fans alerted me that I never bothered to change the team name to “Rays” (as well as their own Anaheim name change).
I apologize to anyone of whom my carelessness offended.
