Aussie, Aussie, Aussie - Oi, Oi, Oi
If everyone here had one reliever to bring out of the pen to get an out, who would it be as of right now?
My post must be 75 words long so I must tell you a joke:
A man and a woman were driving down the road, arguing about
his deplorable infidelity when suddenly the woman reached
over and sliced the man's penis off. Angrily, she tossed
it out the car window.
Driving behind the couple was a man and his 6-year-old
daughter. The little girl was chatting away at her father
when all of a sudden the penis smacked their car windshield,
stuck for a moment, then flew off.
Surprised, the daughter asked her father, 'Daddy, what
the heck was that?'
Shocked, but not wanting to expose his little girl to
anything sexual at such a young age, the father replied,
'It....it was only a bug, Honey.'
The daughter sat with a confused look on her face, and
after a moment said..
'Sure had a big dick, didn't it?'

Haha! that was awesome
For a lefty I pick J.P. Howell. The guy has been nails all year.
For a righty I pick J.P. Howell.
The guy is a different look from everyone we have pitching for us. That makes a huge difference! He is smart and has ZERO fear of pitching inside.
Balfour is incredible..but his lack of secondary pitches and consistent control makes it risky for the whole one out scenario.

well balfours lack of secondary pitch has worked out so far, he is just a gamer
always has been, he was one of my favorite pitchers when he was with the twins and now im glad for him that he finally is pitching better than i thought he was, i knew he was going to be good but damn not this good lol

I'm sure this is in reference to the Sheffield at-bat
Watching the sequence, I predicted Sheff was going to jack one if he stuck with the fastball. The good news is that there aren’t that many people in MLB with Shef’s batspeed.

hold up now..
Who has better and more consistent control?? I don’t care about number of walks…we are talking control.
next..
The Sheffield at bat had something to do with the me mentioning secondary pitch thing. Sorry to be one of those “what have you done for me lately” fans. Man! Sheff really squared him up, eh?

gotcha, you're talking control of each pitch -- throwing the ball where you're aiming
but how do we know where Balfour (or anyone) is aiming? anything more than the catcher’s glove? and why should we care all that much if Balfour can still throw strikes and his pitches aren’t very hittable?

Re-phrase the question:
If the Rays are in game 7 of the world series and you as Manager must bring in a reliever to get one out, what Rays reliever would you bring in?
Please don’t say Jose Mesa.

I'd go with Jeff Ridgeway
But only because I think its funny that he wound up with an ERA of 189.00 sample size be famned.

But only if it’s the 15th inning and assuming he didn’t start Game 7.
