wait, that's a really good tRA for Sonny -- it's like his ERA is too high given how well he's pitched
ERA not being an accurate depiction of a pitcher's performance?
Color me shocked.

I don't get why people want to to bring up Johnson,
Pena is fine, Dan Johnson reminds me of a poor man’s Aubrey Huff. Yes, he is doing well in Durham but so is Chris Richard.

Frankly I think the Rays should be bring up Thayer,
Especially with the unimpressive outing by Salas last night. I don’t think Salas has what ever he had last year cough-’roids

He walks as a MiL Free Agent if we don't add him.
If we do add him, he’s under team control for several years. And given a full season, I thing he could better the numbers Hinske’s put up this year.
Always nice to have your national title hopes basically extinguished in Week 1.
Bowling Green ahead of Pittsburgh. Upsets are fun.

No matter how much talent or how strong a recuiting class Pitt gets, they will never overcome the overwhelming weakness that is
Dave Wannstedt.
Pittsburgh will never win, I don’t care how high anybody ranks them.

Odd.
I like CFB far more than the NFL.
by R.J. Anderson on Aug 30, 2008 3:25 PM EDT up reply actions
Same
I’ve got a whole speil about this, but the short version: Watching the NFL now is like playing a football game from 1992, when the only difference between the teams is their uniforms. All players are the same speed, same strength, and run the same exact plays. CFB despite it’s flaws, is a much more exciting sport.
Excessive celebration penalty after a sack keeps Pitt alive.

It's final now
Pitt goes down. For future reference, just because you beat West Virginia once doesn’t mean that you’re going to win the Big East.
I am off to work
Go Rays!

So apparently it's going to be near a sellout.
Good, now FOX has a bigger reason to talk about attendance.
Has this been posted already?
Longo is still not swinging a bat is out 1-2 more weeks. He has been swinging a broom stick.
Let him get back to 100%
We seem to be getting along all right so far.

JP Howell doesn't know how to use a microphone
He looked like he was trying to eat it like an ice cream cone; too close to his face and he kept twisting it.
Question?
Someone I was talking to just brought this up, has the World Series and the Super Bowl ever been in the same physical town in one year?
maybe the brothers reuniting will make them both reach potential
or maybe Price can be our ace within a few years, hmm….

i had high hopes for the Sonny start
needless to say I was wrong and now the bullpen is gonna get killed
Of Sonny has a great tRA, it must weigh favorably
yo pitchers with low walk totals, because it sure has little to do with ER allowed
Fucking read the goddamn primer and maybe you'd know how it weighs things.

Fuck you and your tRA with it
Hi, asshole
I invented tRA. If you can prove that you’re more capable of being an analyst than me, I’d like to see it.
Otherwise fuck you.

BOSSMAN!!!
RALLY TIME!!
Certainties in Life: Death, Taxes, and Gabe Gross coming through in the ninth
wow
rocco hit again, we take the lead again!
Balfour and Wheeler next 2 innings, stop giving up runs
I'd keep Chadford in...try to squeeze an inning out of him
this way, if he pitches a clean 8th, wheeler can start the 9th
9 = 8
that was a sick inning
Who you think pitches the 9th, Bradford(only 11 pitches), Balfour(he strikes everyone out) or Wheeler(Maddon LOVES to use the closer when he is “supposed” to)
if we god forbid give up the lead again and go extra
Who do they have left now? Sherril and who else?
George Sherrill (shoulder) resumed his throwing program Saturday and is scheduled to toss a bullpen session on Wednesday.
If things go smoothly during his bullpen, Sherrill could return by next weekend.
9 = 8
Fernando Cabrera was fined by manager Dave Trembley after rudely flipping him the ball when he was removed from Friday’s game.
“Cabrera was fined an undisclosed amount of money and was disciplined accordingly by me,” Trembley said Saturday. “That’s where we’re at. I am satisfied that he recognized that what he did was inappropriate, and I accept his apology.” It sounds like the matter is closed.
9 = 8
ok
whoever pitches here, probably Wheels, please shut these assholes down, im sick of them blowing the lead today
D. Wheeler is my new Brian Stokes

Rocco, D. Wheeler
and a few others.
They are chapping my hide.
Right. Which makes no sense.
Because those two are assets to the team.

Brian Stokes was a colossal failure in all regards.
Dan Wheeler is an effective reliever that is prone to the occasional long-ball. If you don’t like it you can suck a cock.
