The link to Baseball Tonight's greatest player in franchise history segment they just started. The Rays choices are C.C., Roberto Hernandez, Aubrey Huff, Fred McGriff and Kazmir.

My vote is for Kazmir, the franchise leader in wins and k's. Whats say you?

Brent Abernathy

Oh wait he isn’t a choice. It has to be either CC or Kazmir

I would rather wait 10 years for this poll.

By then it may be between Upton, Longoria, Price, Kazmir and who knows? Tim Beckham? Somebody not on the radar yet?

For a team like Arizona or even Florida or Colorado, who have had some success, it might make some sense, but for the Rays it looks a bit silly when other teams are selecting Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds, Ted Williams, Stan Musial, Willie Mays, Jimmie Foxx, Jackie Robinson, Henry Aaron et al and having to leave off people like Warren Spahn, Sandy Koufax, Lefty Grove, Micky Mantle and the like. And we are selecting among players with 5 or 6 years in the majors or who joined us near the end of their careers.

If forced, I would probably take Crawford based on his longevity and consistently good to very good performance until this year.

We did wait 10 years for this poll.

Sadly, this is the best they could come up with.

I’d like to go one step further and see what a Rays Legends lineup card/defensive alignment looks like at this point.

I'll go with Crawford

Although my heart still says Quentin McCracken.

Vogt early, Vogt often.

The Greatest Ray Ever?

That’s easy: Evan Longoria

Now if we’re talking about the Devil Rays, the answer would certainly be different.

It's obvious, isn't it?

Its Jason Tyner!

I'd vote for Longo right now!

He’s the most talented and he’ll be around for a while.

It’s amazing how quickly you can forget Jose Canseco if you really try.

You guys are crazy! It's a 3 way tie between Wilson Alvarez/Juan Guzman/Vinny Castilla

Whoops, I thought we were voting on the Rays who ripped us off the most! lol
