Important question
So I've been following this site for the past 2 years but I've been too lazy to make an account and join in the constant discussion. (btw all the comments during the last 4 hours of the trading deadline were more hilarious than any comedian's stand up).
Anyway I've been in disagreement with some people from the office in regards to the Rays lead in the AL East. Im a born and raised New Yorker (still live in NY) and I have alot of Yankees friends who I can't stand. I was wondering does anyone know the count as of today as to how many days in the lead does each team have this season. I know Baltimore lead for a total of a week maybe and the Red Sox have led for a total of maybe a couple months but the Rays have lead for a long time before the break and everyday since the start after the break. Does anyone have the totals of all 5 teams this year in the division?
My disagreement with my friends is that I don't believe the Yankees have lead at all this year. Someone help me out.

here are the totals
Rays have been in first place 50 days, Red Sox 63 days, Blue Jays 1 day, Orioles 14 days, and the Yankees have been in first place 2 days this year. The first time was after their win on Opening Day, and the last was on April 16. As with almost anything you could ever want to know, this is found on baseball-reference.com.
