Jackson actually looks like he mixed in a decent amount of sliders
Kaz on the other hand, doesn’t look like he used a single one.

Yes.
The point was showing
A) The velocities didn’t go down throughout the game
B) That Jackson is better than Kazmir at mixing pitches in and changing up velocity.
C) Jackson throws really, really hard.

Seems like since Sonny has been using his new release point his fastball is up a tick or two, and can now hit 90-91mph, which will probably do a better job at keeping more hitters honest then 87-88.

OT: why don't they activate CC and use him as a pinch runner? there's gotta be room for him on the expanded roster, no?

This is one advantage we have over Boston
They struggle against power-pitchers. We have three of them, and our two rarely walk anyone.

OT, but...
i remember last year some crazy stat like we lost 40 games when leading after 6 innings, or something like that? just in thinking about how we would have 100% lost last nights game with last years bullpen, is there anywhere i can go to find that kind of stat? how many games we’ve lost when leading after 6, after 7, etc…?

I like those 6th and 7th inning RA
Me thinks Balfour and Vultron have had a big hand in that.
