I've got two things going for us

I commented first in the GDT (I can’t remember the last time that happened and we lost), and I used the Sawx in a parlay, which I used successfully for the win last night.

In other news, you are all welcome.

I am liking the OF... a lot more range.

More range then Nicholas Cage! Bazing!

Con Air and Raising Arizona... basically the same character...

Leaving Las Vegas is kind of like Adaption, his character.

No love for 88m? Freaky film, but great at the same time?

The Rock? Anyone?

8mm

I hated that film. It set me down my ‘I hate Nicholas Cage in anything he’s in’ path.

It almost cost me the opportunity to see Lord of War.

Lord of War, good film.

Why the hate on 8mm? Curious? I like the acting, Jaquin (however you spell it) Phoenix… dark but good.

Suspension of disbelief

When I saw it, I thought the entire thing was unbelieveable tripe. Normally, I try to distance a movie from reality but I couldn’t do it here. I thought the premise was completely absurd.

They're a guilty pleasure. I thought National Treasure was going to be horrible and waited until well after it came out on DVD to watch it.

I’ll admit that Nicholas Cage had me rolling when he was doing that British accent in the second one, though.

Get a hooker. And not one of those cheap 'strip club' hookers, one of those escorts that you have to provide refrences for

Because of sound budgeting, when I have a 3 check month, I literally have one whole check that I can spend on anything I want, the first check of that month. I have a 3 check month in October. I can either buy two playoff tickets for every single possible playoff game for the Rays, or look into season-tickets for next year.

People wondered how I could literally turn my back on this team.

From now on, I’m just going to point them to that post, but that’s only part of the problem to be honest.

The organization seemingly doesn't care about this community anymore, between allowing Allen to sign any hardened criminal and resigning Gruden to an extension

And considering that every offensive player that leaves the team rips Gruden on the way out, I have every reason to believe that every move Gruden makes is to the benefit of masturbating his own ego. Fuck that team.

They aren't

This is the first time since 1997 that every game hasn’t sold out before the start of the season.

by kericr on Sep 17, 2008 9:54 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Not if they're going to blow smoke up this communities ass about raising ticket prices while being almost 40 million under the salary cap

And say they need the money to sign free agents, then not only not sign anybody, but not sign any of the new ‘core’ players to contract extensions.

No, I am not a fan of this group right now.

I was a Bucs fan until this offseason. If things change to my liking, I will be a fan again. Right now, I cheer for the Broncos and refuse to even watch Bucs games.

Did you cheer for the Broncos before?

Some reason you’ve chosen them?

Cannons... fire them.

Hell yeah...or Anquan Boldin

Supposive trade rumor with Bucs getting Boldin and giving up a 1st rounder AND Ronde Barber…I dont see it happening

by TheUltimateBucFan on Sep 17, 2008 10:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Boldin would be fine too.

Not sure if that’s a good deal or not, seems like a lot for a guy who’s a FA at the end of the year.

I agree wholeheartedly

Big WR that can go up and get it on 3rd down and can stretch defenses downfield.

I would not be suprised to see Graham somehow benched as soon as Caddy is ready to play

With some kind of justification such as Graham isn’t as fast or elusive or something idiotic like that.

Caddy being ready to play

IF he’s EVER ready to play again (no, really) could be a long time.

Yea....

I was concerned Dunn was too far over the hill, but he still looks good (and quick) spelling Graham and catching passes out of the backfield. It’s not a Turner/Norwood combo, but it certainly hasn’t been too bad so far.

True. There were many empty seats this past game. The team still caleed it a "sold out game"

We’ll see how the rest of the year shakes out. Plus there are only 8 NFL games compared to 82 MLB games, so I guess it’s not a fair comparison

I'm a Bucs fan, don't get me wrong.

And I don’t know enough about football to tell you why playing Griese over McCown is a bad move so I won’t comment on stuff like that. I cheer for them and I tend to not beat myself up over their moves and games like I would for the Rays.

I rarely believe anything like this

and if your wife had to piss she could have gone at the top when you were waiting 10 minutes for them to fix the escalator!

yea

remember this is just one mans opinion about gameday

Simply put, I know for a fact of too many other bad things that have gone on for me to consider anything else I've heard of second hand to be true or not.

I’m done making assessments. Nothing I see or read is going to degrade or improve my position. I have the lowest opinion possible about the Bucs.

I understand that...

I personally haven’t had a problem. That particular person seemed to have unreasonable expectations

it cant be that bad dude

the product on the field overall has been hovering around average, so you cant be too upset with that. I personally dont care if borderline criminals play as long as they produce. My gameday experiences have been alright, im sure most people would agree. At least we are not the bengals…

Why should I accept medocrity again?

Because the Bucs had so many losing seasons?

by kericr on Sep 17, 2008 9:59 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

it shouldnt be something to be proud of

but there are only so many top-tier clubs that are able to stay at that level for years.Do we have the right to be dissapointed with managemnt for not signing/ resigning the right players? sure, but we dont know if their inactivity is because of legit personel questions or money.

All I say is once a fan always a fan. I have loved my Bucs since the days of Bucco Bruce and free tickets at the old sombrero.

I also have loved my Rays since their inception and since going to the first game in team history. Ya love em through the good, the bad, and the ugly. And theor has been LOTS of ugly for both teams!!!

I've never minded cheering for a bad team.

But I won’t cheer for a bad organization. I won’t start cheering for the Bucs if they go 13-3 and get homefield advantage.

Sounds to me like the guy just had a bad experience.

Bucs organization cant do anything about what happens outside. He is one of 65K who had a problem with security. I never have had any issues and always have a great time.
