Finally!
Also of pre-game interest, Willy Aybar and Dan Johnson are both getting some work in the outfield with coach George Hendrick, which creates some interesting thoughts about the potential postseason roster.

Aybar
If Aybar can play even a below-average OF, he’s straight-up a better option than Zobrist, who sucks at every position.

I really wish they would have done this sooner.
I would love to have Aybar’s bat in LF everyday until CC is healthy (basically next year).

I would very much like to think they would leave him off the postseason roster.
But sadly, I don’t think they will.

with the new schedule out,
start off april not only on the road playing in cold cities, but we go 15 road v 8 home games. i swear the league sched makers hate us.

I would believe it.
You would think the team with the dome would have more home dates to start off… but no.

There are only 25 spots for the post season roster right?

to my knowledge, yes.

About damn time.....
I been thinking why not Willy in RF for a while. His arm can’t be that bad. Now if he could play LF and have Gross in RF. Be nice.

it's nice when your bench/utility guys can play multiple positions WELL and hit WELL
otherwise you’re stuck with Willy Bloomquist

Tonight is a perfect example as to why they should have done this sooner.
Zobrist and Gross are starting in the OF (against a lefty) and Aybar isn’t in the lineup.
