I dunno man..
I’ll just say this:
I was making out with one girl while the other one was going down on her. Then, out of nowhere, the girl who was chomping got really self-conscience and stopped the whole thing.
It was a whole drunken mess of awesome fail.
What about this raptor?

Put him on a tight leash with 2 runs, not in the pressure situation of a save. He looked pretty okay I thought.

Can anyone please explain to me why Balfour is not the closer? WTF?
by TheUltimateBucFan on Sep 18, 2008 10:08 PM EDT reply actions
Because he's probably the best closer in the bullpen, and is much better used when brought in during jams.
Also, he’s pitched 2 in a row, I don’t think he’s available today.
*best reliever
A lesser pitcher can pitch an inning without giving up runs. It takes sack to come in and keep men on base from scoring.
this is just not true
the ideal model is a bullpen ace (a mixture of 7th, 8th, and 9th inning appearances). i agree with you there.
but given that Maddon will use a “closer”, the closer will appear in more important situations than a setup guy. look through the fangraphs leverage leader board. every team’s closer has a higher leverage index than any setup guy.

Certainties in Life: Death, Taxes, and Gabe Gross coming through in the ninth
Nobody else is man enough to say it, but this is Evan's fault.

Hi folks

That guys with high flyball to groundball ratios should not pitch in the 9th inning.
Wow
Soooooo…who should be closing again?
Certainties in Life: Death, Taxes, and Gabe Gross coming through in the ninth
Forget closing hindsight is 20:20 obviously but
if Price had finished the game we still have 12 other guys that could have started the DH after we had locked up a playoff spot against a worse team
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
Isn't the question
whether Price could have finished today after the Yanks outing on Sunday?

And This Folks...
… is why the playoffs will be interesting. A number of contending teams have bullpens that could be best described as “Adventures.”
And despite the K-Rod hype (no doubt, an impressive thing, breaking that record), the Angels’ bullpen should not be seen as a playoff-lock. K-Rod could become an adventure right-quick.

or god forbid, we just bring in whoever is doing the best and stop needing a closer
Thats the 10th time
Wheeler has came in with the lead or a tie and has ended up with a blown save or a loss.
I blame this loss on Sonnanstine
He is just too hittable
