Jaso wears number 28, Fernie 38.

Percival was activated, ect. ect. ect.

Indeed.

I can’t wait to see ’em.

by Vin on Sep 2, 2008 5:24 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I too can't wait to see The Genius play

But, I do feel that statement is bold. Zobrist has played very well for guy who has never played the outfield. Definitely Perez is a guy who will pinch run for:

Navi,
Floyd,
Hinske in game winning situations… am I forgetting anyone?

Fernando should be a better defender.

Offensively I doubt we feel the effects of going from Zobrist to Fernie.

I agree.

Definitely if BJ needs a break, I can see that coming soon, the Genius can play CF… go Fernando go!

After spring training I thought the Rays were a lock for wild card contention through the year.

I thought they could maybe get 2nd place at best. But, I love the fact I am wrong!

and I want $1 million a year but you know what...

Seriously folks, I don’t see the love affair with Johnson. On the grounds of he is not that mobile, he can only really play 1B. yes, I know he was playing a little in RF, I know that. But, he is just no used to how this team plays ball. If he was a right handed hitter, then yes, i would be for it. But, I don’t get it.

He might be.

But I meant in terms of strengths/weaknesses. I’d rather not have either play the outfield.

by R.J. Anderson on Sep 2, 2008 6:25 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I agree.

I personally rank Hinkse with Gomes in terms of mobility. They are two guy that give there soul to the game, just not so pretty when it comes so of their routes to the ball.

Calls even go against the Rays in Boston-Orioles game

Umpire just blew a call at plate in first inning of O’s-Sox game…

Sac fly. Runner slides around Varitek and clearly touches plate with hand well before the tag. Ump ruled he never touched the plate because he was in such a horrible position (behind Varitek towards first base dugout) he couldnt see the plate.

I thought it was retarded when I first heard it but hes 9-0 with an ERA around 1.40 and he keeps throwing shutouts, not to mention how much better the Brewers have gotten with him. Also, doesn’t hurt that Webb seems to have a dead arm and is getting killed again

Bartlett has played almost all year though

no

Aybar wanted to bunt

I will just pretend that didn’t happen.

He feigned that to try to get an inside pitch.

He would not have bunted that ball he would have pulled back

Through 3 innings Moose is up to 51 pitches.

I love it. I also the fact that Rays were given a gift of a bad ball call on Upton and were able to cash in. That is awesome! Go Rays!
