I love Perez in the leadoff spot.
Go Rays! MVP: Michel Hernandez, I will go out on a limb and say that Hernandez will hit his first major league homerun.
PS: Joe, can Jaso get his first start tomorrow, please?

Garza needs a + start. He's been mediocre lately, and he's a moody sonofabitch,

Shields is only pitching an inning tomorrow.
That smells like Talbot or Niemann to mop up. I would probably have Niemann pitch tonight and Talbot tomorrow.

then I would say he was doing a half-ass job at QB because he thought he couldn’t be benched.

Something was off with him today.
He was throwing at receivers’ feet and several yards ahead of them today. He had back-to-back overthows late in the game. He looked sick or injured (not an excuse, just a concern).

I don’t know what’s wrong with him. Hopefully we sit him next week vs. Arkansas and just have Percy take the snaps. He was a QB in high school. Then again, so was Haden. Put him in. Or put in Newton. Anybody but Tebow next week.

Cliff Lee (neck) has been scratched from his final scheduled start, Sunday’s season finale against the White Sox.
That’s good news for Chicago’s south-siders. “It doesn’t make any sense at all [to start Lee],” manager Eric Wedge said. “There would be a chance of him changing his delivery [to compensate for the neck pain], and that changes everything. There’s no way we’re going to take that chance.” Bryan Bullington will start in the potential Cy Young Award winner’s place.

If the Rays batters have tendencies that make them play better against generally good pitchers….IDK just thinking like, if “good” pitchers tend to locate better over the plate and the Rays swing at everything then they are more likely to make contact against good pitchers than pitchers like Willis or Dice-k who regularly miss the plate….just pondering.

Yeah, you lost me when you spoke about the Bears
You know, ever since I can remember they suck. They ‘lucked’ into a SB (top defense that starts being awful a year later? Come on…), only to get their ass kicked by the Colts. It’s not like they aren’t good this season. It’s been a while since they last were any good. :)
Football is funny to me, because I’m not really a fan of any team. I mean, I like the Pats and all, but I’m not a fan. I’m nearly converting myself into a 49ers fan, only because McCoveyChronicles is so great. :)

You just wish you had Papelbon in the bullpen, come on
I mean, James Shields punches like a girl, but I’d love to have that fucker in my rotation. :)

If Shields connected with that punch, Coco gets laid out.
Besides, Gomes would wipe out your entire team :)

Hey
At least Coco got Shields out of that game, he earned his money on that one alone. Now, what did Gomes EVER do of good for you? :)

Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.

Hernandez is a minor league back-up catcher for a reason.
I’m amazed he still gets time over Jaso.

I say use the same pathetic the lineup tomorrow
only change is Talbot in long relief instead of Niemann and then it’s ALDS time!

Crappy lineup or not
Detroit beat us with our regulars in there the first two games. It’d be embarrassing to get swept by these bums when they were riding a 9 game losing streak entering the series.

a loss is a loss.
You take it on the chin and move on. The Rays will come back tomorrow and end this season no a high note and head to the playoffs.
