Statts gets so excited

lets get more while Halladay looks human

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 7:11 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

15 in the first for Halladay

more importantly, 2 runs

come on Sonny, dont suck

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 7:16 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

he wanted to get Wells

instead he got no one, i guess it happens to the best of them

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 7:35 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

oh god

is this the inning Sonny picked to suck in?

Even when he does well, he always has 1 horrid inning

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 7:38 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

alright

that sucked but I thought it would be worse, lets get this run back now

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 7:47 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

K/BB ratio doesn't always work

to explain pitchers. Definitely the case with Sonny. Yeah, he doesn’t walk many. But his pitches come in way too straight, and he leaves too many meatballs over the plate.

He might make a decent pitcher in the NL someday. He just doesn’t have it to hang in the AL East

by RayFanNY on Sep 5, 2008 7:47 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

well we can hope

that was just the inning he picked to suck

its usually(not his last start…) only 1 inning where he looks like garbage

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 7:49 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

stop getting exctied Statts

just makes it worse when the ball is caught

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 7:50 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Sonnanstine's BAA is .294

He’s really not all that good, but he throws strikes and doesn’t walk hitters. He’s serviceable, but when you get ahead of Halladay 2-0, you have to do a better job of making that stand up.

by killa3312 on Sep 5, 2008 7:51 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I disagree

You’ll have the occasional unlucky hit, but over the course of the year you’ll have a lot more legitimate hits against you as a pitcher and unlucky ones. It’s no coincidence that most of the best pitchers in baseball history have a dominant BAA.

Sonny is just entireably too hittable. It doesn’t take a genius to figure that out. He leaves far too much up in the zone.

"Too hittable"

Yet has a lower LD% and HR rate than Jackson. Makes sense.

by R.J. Anderson on Sep 5, 2008 9:15 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

well, that one was

you know, they give you a bat for a reason, Pena

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 7:58 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Aki saves Sonny's ass

Can he not give up anymore runs? Please?

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 8:04 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

We used up our run buffer

With Halladay, Downs and Ryan, can’t afford to give any more away

by sofladude77 on Sep 5, 2008 8:06 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

so in the Boston game

Beckett with be help to 50 or less pitches, go Rangers!

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 8:07 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

How many pitches

Will the Rangers pitchers throw tonight, 200?

by sofladude77 on Sep 5, 2008 8:08 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

you know what?

I want a 2 run home right here.

Anyone else?

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 8:08 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

but screw it. I want to see Jaso and Perez for a game.

Millwood shut out the Sox in the 1st

he just needs to do that 8 more times, thats all.

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 8:14 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

you know Doc is over 60 pitches

If we could come back, we would be looking real good with Shields and Garza(likes the Jays) up next

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 8:16 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

man

if Sonny could just have more innings like that

come on bats

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 8:18 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

damnit

stop swinging at garbage

our best chance is to make him work

i know they have a great pen but i dont care much about that when Halladay is pitching

Sonny and Jackson are just here to hold the spots for Price and Davis

cant exactly complain about their performances when that’s basically what they are there for

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 8:41 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

4-man rotation in playoffs

Jackson probably the 4th, not sure if the Rays wanna throw the youngsters in the playoffs

by sofladude77 on Sep 5, 2008 8:43 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

1 DP all season

why the fuck doesnt he swing away?

by joeybw on Sep 5, 2008 8:55 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

No excuse

Halladay didn’t wanna pitch around to him to get to Pena

by sofladude77 on Sep 5, 2008 8:56 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Upton just needs to swing the bat

that’s simply inexcusable. Then again, why are you trying to squeeze home a run with a player that’s hit into one DP all year long?
