Niemann pitched a very nice game tonight, He had a no-hitter through 7 and ended up with 8 innings, 2 hits, 1 run, 3 BBs and 11 Ks, throwing 71 strikes in his 103 pitches. He also had 7 ground outs and 6 fly outs.

He killed in the playoffs last year as well
He just seems to do better in pressure situations.

It would be nice to see him get on track. Before he tore his shoulder up last year he was on a tear ::lame::. It looks like he forgot to hit, but if he will dedicate himself this off-season I could see him coming back next year and winning a job.
