I think its looking more and more certain that we’ll trade some of these guys in the offseason. The Dodgers could definitely use Talbot and Niemann I think.
There's no reason he can't take Hammel's spot.
But if Niemann and Talbot land Ethier/Kemp (Kemp please) then I’d have to be ok with dealing him.

Its hard telling,
But two young, high upside pitchers with virtually no ML service time would be a pretty good haul for what amounts to a surplus outfielder for the Dodgers.
Actually, I'll go on record right now
and say that we’ll trade two pitchers to the Dodgers and they’ll use the money saved by letting Lowe walk and buying out Penny’s option to try and resign Manny.

personally
unless we get overwhelming offers, I’d like to see Niemann in the pen, where his health and mechanical issues are less of a problem. i’d like to see Jackson traded. and i’d like to see Talbot in long relief in preparation for the rotation.
Mechanics are more of a problem in pen, kind of.
Apparently he takes a really long time to warm up and isn’t a viable option coming of the pen.
actually, mechanical issues are better in the bullpen
easier to keep them straight for one inning than six.
but if that whole thing about him not being able to warm up quickly is true, then yeah, that’s not useful.

I don't know a lot about Jaso
but what we gotta expect from a backup catcher is to be able to catch the ball and not always throw the ball into the outfield. Just hold his own.

The pitchers did what they were supposed to, except for Percival, and kept things close enough fot the offense to have a chance at winning.
