I had a long rant full of vitrol about how Percival shouldn't have attempted to pitch while hurt, but I deleted it. Hopefully Percival learned his lesson.

Looking at Bradford(although he should be worth at least .5 WAR over a year), Wheeler, and Percival's WAR and then at their salaries is painful.
Perfect example as to why you don’t sign expensive or long-term deals with relievers.
I'm extremely curious to see how the Rays proceed with Balfour.

He HAS to develop another pitch.
Even if it means a mediocre pitch thrown more often. He needs to mix it up.

I’m nearly in agreement with you after how he started getting hit very late into the playoff run, but not quite.
Shields should teach him his change-up.
Even an average change-up would pay dividends for Balfour.
Hopefully Percival learned his lesson.
