Still...anyone but the Red Sox

I’d prefer even the Yankees.

Why is this so hard?

He could have bashed us to make it easier.

I see no reason for anyone to hate Rocco

but there will always be that disappointment. While I would never blame Rocco for his disappointments, because he had no control over his health, I will always wonder what might have been. It made sense for both parties to go their separate ways this off-season. I’d say I wish him the best (when it comes to remaining healthy enough to continue his career), but I will root for him more if/when he is wearing a uni other than that of the BoSox or Yanks.

This is the new thing in sports. A lot of guys are doing this.

I just wish he went to the Reds like Gomes and not the Red Sox

I see Gomer fitting in very nicely over there

A lot of young guys on that team so he should play well as the guy they can look up to that also goofs around a lot. Great in the clubhouse we’ll see how he does at the plate, surely, moving the NL Central would rejuvenate most batting careers. Also, Correct me if this is stereotype, but isn’t Great Amerikan Ballpark a launching pad. He could hit 30 out and strikeout about 200 times.

Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up that much.

Not quite

That’s just silly.

Yeah by all accounts he likes playing baseball

that and he is nowhere near the level of the Big Donkey, as a child Dunn would pull trees out of the ground with his bare hands, and he also skated on a giant frying pan with butter as the skates

Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up that much.

Chone Smith on Gomes

Link

In his favor, he’s moving from baseball’s toughest division to the National League central, a very good homerun hitting park, and some other good hitter’s parks among his divisional opponents (Wrigley, Houston). I think Jonny is going to win a starting job in spring training (Reds OF then being him, Tavares in center, and Bruce in right), and hit a bunch of homers. If he plays every day I think he’ll hit 30. He’ll also strike out 150+ times, and play crappy defense. They’ve pretty much replaced 90% of Adam Dunn for a little over the league minimum. Jonny is a good player to watch for if you wonder if there will be a Ryan Ludwick of 2009.

Sure I can hate him.

Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.

I want Baldelli to be healthy enough to play in 150 games, I just hope he sucks. Like Greg Vaughn suck.

I didn’t say I wasn’t a total hypocrite. I polished off some Thai garlic and pepper beef tonight…
