Joe Maddon is a Good Person

In a little over three hours on Tuesday, Tampa Bay Rays Manager Joe Maddon helped raise $13,000 for a fund drive dedicated to restoring the auditorium at his alma mater, the former Hazleton High School.

A $50,000 check presented at the event by the CAN DO Community Foundation puts total proceeds at just over $63,000 for the night, according to Tony Cusatis, a treasurer for a group overseeing the initiative.
