Chase for Ohman has only dropped to 5
We are one of the 5, though. Maybe we are planning a trade with Bradford/Wheeler or the Percival injury is a lot more serious than we have heard.
Time for a Will Ohman update from David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
The Braves haven’t backed off Ohman, still right there, one of six to eight teams interested. And he reiterated this is where he wants to be, if offers are equal, etc. He really liked everything about the place, team, fans.
The following teams have been linked to Ohman in reports: the Mets, Indians, Orioles, Rockies, Cardinals, Rays, and Braves. We can probably cross the Cardinals and Rockies off the list.
Braves
Mets
Indians
Orioles
Rays
Would love to sign him if we trade Wheeler, otherwise, I don't know where he fits in.

For Ohman, I would find a spot.
We need another lefty in the pen.

Well right now the probable 7 are
Troy Percival
Dan Wheeler
JP Howell
Grant Balfour
Chad Bradford
Joe Nelson
Jeff Niemann
Maybe the Percy injury is serious or we expect to trade Wheeler/Bradford/Niemann…… it is really looking like Rodriguez wont be given a spot.
Evan Longoria and David Price - the fight for my heart
I don't see the Rays keeping Bradford around.
Would I keep Bradford? Yes, but, I am just trying to think along the lines of the RFO, which is equivalent to playing chess with a Russian Genius.

They might not have a choice.
It’s one thing to want to trade Bradford. It’s another thing to find a dance partner.
im hopeing that if he doesnt make the team, that they work out a trade to be able to send him to the minors
more depth and i think that he is going to be good for our pen for years to come, also letting him spend another year in the minors, in 2010 both percy and bradford are going to be gone so he will be given the chance to compete for a spot in the pen then.
TB Rays in 09!!!
Going rate on a LOOGY is about
2 million a year with the payroll where it is right now and Joe Nelson/Randy Choate/Derek Rodriguez already here, I’ll pass
I disagree. Ohman is just the kind of pitcher we need
I mean, with E-Jax gone, I need someone to be able to provide the final solution to…certain questions.
