well the umpires, networks, espn, mlb maby too. have
decided that the phillies need to win this series. can’t have a NLCS without an east coast team in it.
Should be an interesting off-season
Depending on what Boston does, could open a slightly bigger window, since they’re headed south.

Damn....
There were only two real teams that I was rooting really hard against to lose when the playoffs started. The Red Sox already lost, so that’s awesome. But damn, the Dodgers better take down the Phillies or I’m going to be really sad.
Random question that just popped up in my mind as a result of that thought: if the Phillies make it to the WS again this year, does this make them a “dynasty”? I’ve never thought of them as ever being great, even when they made the WS last year. They’re a good team, but I wouldn’t say they’re that good. But oh man, I’m afraid of the headlines that are going to come out if the Phillies win this next series.

I don't think dynasty is right, but it certainly justifies trading for Cliff Lee and signing Raul Ibanez
Also, Ryan Howard will get too much credit and Jayson Werth not nearly enough. The wheel in the sky keeps on turning.
Get well soon DM

Yeah, that's my main problem with it.
Them being successful justifies the decisions they’ve made these past few years, which haven’t always been the best in terms of process. It’s not like they have a horrible FO, but I think I’d be more okay with it if they had made smarter moves in the past.
And yes, Ryan Howard. Sigh…
