The Rangers have announced that hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo has declined a contract offer and will not return to the coaching staff next year. The remainder of the big league coaching staff has been invited to return for the 2010 season.

The only reason he would have opted out is because he thinks he can get a manager job
He’s been mentioned for a number of them, so I doubt he goes anywhere as a hitting coach until he exhausts those options.
