I don’t care that Josh Johnson’s stats (26 of 50, 240 yards, two touchdown, three picks) were pedestrian Sunday at Philadelphia. If you saw much of the game, which I did, you saw a bold quarterback with growing confidence. I’d start him not just one or two more weeks — I’d give him the rest of the year.

This is the first time in history I've agreed with Peter King.
Despite the interceptions, Josh Johnson has done nothing to prove it isn’t his job. Josh Freeman isn’t going to perform any better in a situation where our defense gives up and early lead and we can’t run the ball. Freeman’s decision making skills in college were Trent Dilfer-esque. I’m going to be seriously pissed at the front office and coaching staff if they decide to start Freeman at any point this season. If that happens, Olson needs to put up a match.com profile about his magnets and ghouls… you know, little green guys.

If a few of those passes early were, you know, CAUGHT, the game would've been busted open and Philly wouldn't have been able to stack against the run and blitz so often.
JJ is agile, has a strong and pretty accurate arm, doesn’t make terrible decisions (and he’ll improve with time), and is fearless in the pocket. Toolbox. Every one of his team mates raves about him. Which begs the question…how did Morrinik miss this? There were rumors LAST year that he was the best QB on the team. Yet we traded up to draft a QB that no one else really wanted.

I think the story is JJ would have some bad practices, but frankly, it's just silly.

Despite what logic tells you and unless JJ rattles off two games of 300+ yards passing, 2-3 TD a game and less than 2 picks, we’re seeing Freeman against the Packers.
Morris and Dominik will be pressured into playing Freeman if we’re 0-7 at that point. It’s inevitable.

That's sort of the way it's been with me.
But with me it’s always been the same type of injury, either my neck, upper back, or shoulder. I started getting serious about it about 18 months ago, had a good 6 month run without an injury then hurt my neck. Stopped lifting, then it became inconvinent due to scheduling, then got back into it, hurt my shoulder and my neck, stopped again, cycled around with this a couple of more times, then I hurt myself again about 10 weeks ago. I’ve never taken this long to recover from one of these before so I’m pretty sure I’ve fucked something up pretty good. I think it’s a nerve injury this time. I’m not looking forward to what will most likely be a surgical treatment.

I'm on the fence about Gruden
He did a lot with basically spare parts, I mean Joey Galloway had 3 thousand yard seasons in a row from the likes of Chris Simms, Brian Griese, BRUCE GRADKOWSKI, Jeff Garcia, and Luke McCown throwing the ball to him with no complementary receiver at any time. I think the guy is really great at maximizing the strengths of his players, but he doesn’t realize that his own ego cripples his ability to manage a team. I think he needs to be an OC for a team like Houston.

I don't know about the whole team
Five games isnt a huge sample size, but if you see the same things game after game, you can start to draw conclusions. JJ has had 2 games. The running game has had 2.5 games really.
Seeing Adams do nothing, Sabby take bad angles, Elbert Mack forget what man to man coverage is, you see those things enough, you can start to call it a trend rather than an outlier.

What's worse, the playcalling and talent on offense (Clayton)
isn’t great. He’s playing well. In Matt Ryan’s second start last year (against the Bucs) he looked AWFUL. He’s turned out alright thus far. Give JJ a chance. He’s learning on the job with a second rate offense and OC right now. I’ve been fairly impressed thus far.

A big problem was that instead of switching guys in and out they held on to stalwarts like
DB and Ronde. They had the right idea getting rid of Sapp, Booger, and Lynch, but they needed to go all the way and continue to draft on that side of the ball. Those two first and second rounders killed our development.
Teams can’t continue to miss or pass up early rond picks and be successful. I’ve always said (with nothign to back it up) that those lost picks killed us. They would be 28-31 years old, in their prime (non-RB) had we kept them. That’s 4 players, of which you expect 3 to pan out that high up.
And i have no comment on the second question. Actually, I do have a comment. it doesn’t bother me now since it’s not my site. Had this been on my watch I’d be frustrated because I think this type of conversation is interesting and produces 2nd and 3rd perspectives that people dont generally think of.

That is potentially 2-6 Pro Bowlers and most likely 6 starters. Think about that. Additionally, draft picks in the middle to late first round are paid relatively little compared to the veterans that they would be replacing.

I loved LTROI, most underrated movie of last year. I was going for an independent horror film thing, and couldn’t think of one besides BWP.

Did anyone happen to catch the re-broadcasting of RiffTrax Live?
I saw the original broadcast live and it was fan-fucking-tastic. I hope they do them more often.

I've listened to a bunch of the RiffTrax stuff, and its funny and enjoyable because I basiaclly grew up on MST3K, but none of their stuff has come close to their best mystery science stuff.
Part of that being only three of them are writing the riffs, as opposed to an entire staff.
I agree 100%.
But the RiffTrax Live in theaters was almost equal, if not funnier than MST3K. You have to find a Telesynched version or something. I’ve never laughed so hard in a movie theater ever.

I’ve tried supporting this site. JScott was a nice guy, I liked CraigT, Buc Wild works hard, and even when you took over I tried. I’m a Buccaneers fan and someone who tries linking to the other local SBN sites when possible. I’m also a slave to logic. Sometimes that’s a very bad thing. Right now, that logic is the only thing stopping me from ripping you to pieces.
I know some of my readers at DRB are absolute little terrors, and coming from a place where idiocy is outlawed, sarcasm is in high force, and they’re treated like equals to here is a culture shock. That’s not entirely your fault. Maybe I’m too relaxed with the regulars, maybe I let them stretch the bounds because I know and trust they won’t go too far. Still, 3QC, Raw Charge, and Tomahawk Nation share common readers and we’ve never had issues with each other. That’s three years and running.
And dude, have you ever read DRB? I mean, honestly read it? I know there’s facts and charts and scary words, but if you think that site is all about name-calling then you’re flat out being dishonest. Further, you deleted a comment that bashed that Sprint phone. Why? You deleted my comments about that Buc Report guy being an open plagiarist. Why? Why would you delete that if I’m allowed to write whatever I want within reason on this site? He admitted he was a plagiarist and yet my comment just disappeared as did the entire thread.
You can’t claim throne to all opinions welcome then go around deleting things that you don’t agree. It doesn’t work that way. You can’t expect people to respect you when you do that shady junk either.
And note: this comment is fully within your TOS, just like my previous plagiarist comments. I didn’t curse, personally insult, or use racial epithets. Nor did I use sarcasm.

If you consider slave-owning and boy-loving to be democracy, then please, by all accounts, teach me about
democratic history. Better yet, tell me how the act of playing music makes a team tougher. I get your gist, you think that turning music off is a symbolic gesture that players have to earn special privileges. The problem is that you are such a terrible writer that what you think you are saying does not come across in your words. I don’t fault you for this since American “Education,” especially in the south, is atrocious, but you should really think about what you are going to say instead of responding in knee-jerk style. It makes you come across as a knee-jerk fan. Now when I was blessed to write on that blog (Thanks BW), I was hoping to chase away the fools that posted there as if their knee-jerk response meant two squirts about a piss. I’m a huge fan of rational dialogue, perhaps to a fault. When I see poor, stupid writing I respond the only way I know how, with sarcastic wit poking fun at your ignorance/stupidness/laziness/wrongness/choice E, please provide your response in the reply.
It’s not so much that you are a bad fan (I have no doubts that you live and die with the Bucs, I mean what else is the point of being a fan), but your terrible writing style and inconsistent responses make it very hard to take anything you say seriously. I mean, to use the parlance of our times, your responses are so knee-jerk that you lose all credibility immediately. Go back and look at your replies, if you can find them. You contradict yourself and try to turn the argument around so that you do not look foolish, but by constantly shifting focus on the topic you went off in other tangents or tried to explain away your discrepancies. I, for one, would rather see you stay focused with the message that you intended (the symbolism of the music being a privilege that is earned), than to constantly worry about looking right. I would rather everyone I dealt with on a day-to-day basis worried more about intelligence than looking right. It’s OK to be wrong, that is the only way we find the way to make it right.
Feel free to reply, as this site pride’s itself on open dialogue and the hashing out of “truth” to find a more correct answer. We will not hide your response no matter how smart, dumb, profanity-laced, ecologically friendly, or off-topic it is. I only ask that you think long and hard before you post your response. Don’t get pseudo-intellectual or try to say that without the Greeks no one would have the freedom to talk. Just be yourself and be honest, those are the best things that you can remember to do in any situation, no matter how hairy.

I’m just sorry that I wasted it on you instead of magicmike. I will tell you what, I thought about this as soon as I started over there, and next to Buc Wild (UNFNole I think you do awesome, researched, well-written work, but it’s very bland. Don’t worry I suffer from the same problem.) Lee Caz might be one of the best reads on that site. I know I pushed him a little, but I wanted to see his mettle, and he is the prototypical person that that site should be based around. Maybe he could get a little less heated at times, but, to me, he’s a hardcore fan, and he takes the time to write in readable, relatable, gosh golly shucks, English. Thank you, and I hope that he is eventually made part of the staff to show a reasoned take on what the real fan is all about. Just remember Lee Caz, signing a contract, is not like an arranged marriage of convenience, you still have to share power with those around you and not assume that everything you say was passed down by Zeus himself.
