The Candidates: 

Terrell Lowery(1999), Mike Judd(2001), Joe Kennedy(2001-2003), Chad Gaudin(2003-2004), James Shields(2006-2009), Grant Balfour(2007-2009)

Terrell Lowery played in 66 games for the Devil Rays at various positions in the outfield. While with the Devil Rays, Lowery hit .259 with 2HR and 17 RBIs.

Mike Judd played in 8 games for the Devil Rays. During his time in Tampa Bay, Judd earned a 1-0 record over 20.1 innings pitched and earning a ERA of 4.05.

Joe Kennedy wore "50" for his fist season where played in 20 games earning a record of 7-8, while striking out 78, and sporting an ERA of 4.44.

Chad Gaudin in 41 games for the Devil Rays, over two years, earning an ERA of 4.25 over 82.2 innings.

James Shields wore the number "50" for his first season with the Devil Rays. During his first season, Shields earned an ERA of 4.84 and earned a record of 6-8 over 12.42 innings pitched.

Grant Balfour  has earned an ERA of 3.72 with a record of 12-6, and 8 saves, over his 146 games played.
