Zambrano Trade (Part Deux?)
Hey guys. I'm visiting from over at PinstripeAlley (as if my name wasn't a dead giveaway). Don't worry, I'm not here to gloat or cause trouble. Just thought I'd share a post about our dear friend Victor Zambrano.
As you may have heard, his mother was recently kidnapped and thankfully was returned shortly thereafter. VZ is a scary country for prominent (and in this case not so prominent major leaguers).
But what isn't evident is how they were able to secure the release and here are the details:

Oh god imagine an infield of all Jeter's turning double plays on every play. I'm seriously creaming in my pants right now thinking about
the awesomeness that is DJ. HOW DID HE NOT WIN THE MVP? Welcome and thanks for the nice offerings that you’ve brought.

Oh now that's just not necessary.
Just why do you have to be so mean to
Every new person who comes to the site?
Thank your lucky stars that we have
Enough people here that this community
Realizes you’re joking.
Seriously, don’t you
Understand that new people won’t get it?
Xylophone.
I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.
haha +1
It’s cool. i just creamed my pants thinking about an infield of all derek jeters. =D
i gotta say i was rooting for you guys to win it all in 2008. the byproduct of you guys winning it would be:
1) the yankees realize that young, cheap talent, good pitching, and athletes are the future of baseball.
2) everyone that complained that baseball’s economy is flawed and wont’ allow upstart teams to dethrone teams with high payrolls would be debunked once and for all.
alas, it did not happen. i will thank you guys for stomping on the sox throughout the past two years. brought a tear to my eye.

Actually I think I already saw the Zambrano's Mom for Kazmir's mom joke made somewhere else
But I like the verbatim paraphrase from Chuck Lamar in this one. Nice find.
I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.
Alas, we did not win, you guys went out and got a few 4 WAR players, and people are crying for a salary cap without thinking of the long-term ramifications
So here we are. Stick around, I’ve got a piece on positional WAR for each AL team coming out tomorrow that I’m sure you’ll like quite a bit.

Of course I'll stick around
@ Andy – Looking forward to it. I doubt they’ll ever vote a cap since a lot of bottom feeding clubs liek the Royals and Marlins make bank with the luxury tax and revenue sharing. If they do vote a cap, the Yanks will have no choice but to adjust accordingly. But they better implement a salary floor as well.
@ Kericr – did you really? Damn. I thought I struck gold while in a drunken state last night. But I’m glad you noticed the Lamar quote.
