Rick White wore the number "27" for his first season with the Devil Rays, in 1998. During White's one season wearing the number "27," White went on to earn an ERA of 3.80 over 68.2 innings pitched. Rick White was traded to the Mets in 2001, along with Bubba Trammel, for Jason Tyner and Paul Wilson.

I don't know why
but I always liked Damon Hollins, and he’s always the first person that comes to mind when I see our 25+ man deep bench, I always say to myself “wow and we used to start Damon Hollins”.

Hollins was a class act.
He came through the Braves system in a time where they were stacked in the outfield. Hollins was fun to watch, he almost always sold out on a play, and he had good solid at-bats with some pop.
