The Candidates:

Bubba Trammell(1998-2000), Josh Phelps(2005), Ty Wigginton(2006-2007), Andy Sonnastine(2007-2009)

Bubba Trammell was selected by the Devil Rays in the 1997 Expansion draft from the Detroit Tigers. Trammell played in 207 games where he had 96 runs, 191 hits, 48 doubles, 3 triples, 33 homeruns, 107 RBIs, 3 stolen bases, and batted .285 (8th all-time in Devil Rays history). Bubba Trammell was traded along with Rick White to the New York Mets for Paul Wilson and Jason Tyner in 2000.

Josh Phelps played in 47 games where he had 21 runs, 42 hits, 10 doubles, 5 homeruns, and batted .266.

Ty Wigginton played in 220 games where had 102 runs, 226 hits, 46 doubles, 1 triple, 40 homeruns, 128 RBIs, 5 stolen bases, and batted .275. In 2007, Wigginton was traded to the Houston Astros for Dan Wheeler.

Andy Sonnanstine played in 76 games where he has earned 25 wins (tied for 6th most in Rays History), 1 complete game shut-out, and 5.40 ERA.
