The Candidates:
Miguel Cairo(1998-2000), Scott McClain(1998), Vinny Castilla(2000-2001), Bobby Smith(1998-2002), Javier Valentin(2003), Midre Cummings(2004), Jae Kuk Ryu(2007-2008),
Miguel Cairo wore the number "20" for part of the 1998 season, during which Cairo would front a .268 average while playing in 150 games.
Scott McClain played in 9 games where he earned 2 hits and batted .100.
Vinny Castilla was acquired by the D-Rays via trade with the Colorado Rockies for Rolando Arrojo and Aaron Ledesma. Castilla wore the number "20" for only part of the 2000 season where he went on to have 73 hits, 6 home runs, and batted .221 over.
Bobby Smith wore "20" for only parts of his 5 seasons with the Devil Rays. Smith would go to play in 258 games where he have 192 hits, 29 doubles, 4 triples, 21 homeruns, and bat .232.
Javier Valentin was traded by the Milwaukee Brewers to for Jason Conti in 2003. Valentin played in 49 games where he had 30 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 3 homeruns, 15 RBIs, and batted .222.
Midre Cummings played in 22 games where he had 15 hits and batted .278.
Jae Kuk Ryu was traded by the Chicago Cubs, in 2007, for Andrew Lopez and Gregory Reinhard. Ryu played only part of the 2007 season wearing "20". In 2007, Ryu would appear in 17 games earning an ERA of 7.33.

Yeah, I find them fun.
Maybe not the player quality at times. It’s fun just throwing out the names of the players that we have seen wear the numbers throughout the years. i have brought it several times since I have been doing these polls. This is just pure fun and something to do during the off season.
