The Candidates:

Julio Franco (1999), Ben Grieve(2001-2003), Nick Green(2005-2006), Ben Zobrist(2006-2009), Dustin Mohr(2007)

Julio Franco played in 1 game for the Devil Rays where he had 1 at-bat and promptly struck out resulting in a .000 batting average.

Ben Grieve was apart of a three-team trade, in 2001, that Johnny Damon, Cory Lidle, and Mark Ellis to the Oakland Athletics, The Kansas City Royals received Roberto Hernandez, Angel Berroa, and A.J. Hinch. Ben Grieve was sent to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays from the Oakland Athletics. Grieve appeared in 345 games where he had 302 hits, 67 doubles, 2 triples, 34 homeruns, batted .254.

Nick Green was traded by the Atlanta Braves for Jorge Sosa in 2005. Green would appear in 128 games where he would have 79 hits, 15 doubles, 2 triples, 5 homeruns, 3 stolen bases, and batted .239.

Ben Zobrist was traded along with Mitch Talbot from the Houston Astros for Aubrey Huff in 2006. Zobrist played in 297 games where he has 255 hits, 46 doubles, 11 triples, 42 homeruns, 148 RBIs, 24 stolen bases, batted .260, and was an All-Star in 2009.
