Gregg Zaun was traded by the Baltimore Orioles for Rhyne Hughes in 2009. Zaun played in 34 games where he had 27 hits, 7 doubles, 4 homeruns, 14 RBIs, and batted .287.

Shawn Riggans has appeared in 64 games where he would have 38 hits, 8 doubles, 7 homeruns, and batted .202.

Josh Wilson played in 90 games where he had 66 hits, 15 doubles, 3 triples, 2 homeruns, 24 RBIs, batted .251, and had an ERA of 0.00 over 1 inning pitched.

Tomas Perez  played in 99 games where he had 51 hits, 12 doubles, 2 homeruns, 16 RBIs, and batted .212.

BJ Upton wore the number "9" in only part of the 2004 season where played 45 games and batted .258 with 4 homeruns and 12 RBIs.

Robert Fick played in 76 games where he would have 43 hits, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 6 homeruns, and batted .201.

Al Martin played in 100 games where he would have 60 hits, 12 doubles, 2 triples, 3 homeruns, 26 RBIs, and batted .252.

Chris Gomez played in 188 games where he would have 179 hits, 47 doubles, 3 triples, 18 homeruns, and batted .275.

Vinny Castilla was traded by the Colorado Rockies for Rolando Arrojo and Aaron Ledesma in 1999. Castilla would go on and play in 109 games where he would have 93 hits, 15 doubles, 1 triple, 8 homeruns, 51 RBIs, and had a .232 batting average.

Bobby Smith played in 258 games where he had 192 hits, 29 doubles, 4 triples, 21 homeruns, and batted .232.

Yeah, he was a young guy, still pretty remarkable what he did and being so young. If he is going to win on these, this is probably his shot, because I think Randy Winn SHOULD win #2. But then again, I thought Roberto Hernandez should have won #39 over JP Howell.

I gave it to Josh Wilson for his ERA....

though I probably should have gone with Gomez, given that it looks like he’s the only candidate with a chance of knocking B.J out of the race…. B.J doesn’t deserve this roster spot, but he will get my vote for #2
