Bright Spots: All-Time (Devil) Rays Team... Center Field

Previous Polls: The Greatest (Devil) Rays to Ever Wear...

What are the rules? A player HAS to have AT LEAST played 100 games for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays or Rays. If you feel that a player has been left off of the poll unjustly, then make a case for him. All players who have taken the field for the (Devil) Rays will be mention, just not voted on.

Is this poll all about defense? No, not really. This poll is just about voting for your favorite catcher, shortstop, rightfielder...

Today, we'll talk about a CCR's favorite position: center field.  Here is a list off all who have played for the Tampa Bay Nine:

This poll is full of Winn

I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.

Don't forget to include

defense in your calculations of your choice.

If I had one season to put together the best team, I'd take Winn

Simply because he was so much more consistent than Upton. It’s not as if he wasn’t a plus defender also. Upton at his best is better than Winn at his best, but at least with Winn you knew what you were getting. Of course, if I had 24 year old Upton vs 24 year old Winn to choose from to keep for 5 years, I’d go with Upton.

Winn

Winn only had 2 seasons with an OPS of over .704 with the Rays. His career did not really take off until 2002 which was his last year with the Rays.
