We have talked about the greatest to wear the  jersey numbers, and the All-Time Team for the (Devil) Rays and now I want to take a look at the minors. The “Bright Spots” series will shine a light on the future Rays. Through this series we will look at each one of the minor league affiliates and you, the viewer, will select the best pitcher and position player for each of the respected teams.  

Today, we will talk about the Dominican Summer League Rays. The DSL Rays went 30-37 for the season in what is basically the first stop for any potential international signee who hails from the Dominican. Today, we will take a look at the pitchers.

Rules?  pitchers have to have pitched at least 25 innings to qualify for the vote.  

Here is a list of all the pitchers who appeared this year for the 2009 DSL Rays:

Braulio Lara- 21 years old. Lara had a 5-3 while pitching in 55.1 innings, had a 3.58 ERA, pitched one complete game, and carried a 1.32 WHIP.

Juan Wilsino- 20 years old. Wilsino had a 1-4 record while pitching in 55.0 innings, had a 3.60 ERA, and sported a 1.11 WHIP.  

Joan Guerreo- 18 years old. Guerrero had a 1-3 record while pitching in 50.2 innings, had a 5.86 ERA, and showed a 1.91 WHIP.

Pedro Silvestre 20 years old. Silvestre had a 3-2 record while pitching in 48.2 innings, had a 4.99 ERA, earned 2 saves, and fronted a 1.87 WHIP 

Buedlin Suero 19 years old. Suero had a 2-1 record while pitching in 42.1 innings all in relief, had a 3.83 ERA, 2 saves, and showed a 1.63 WHIP.

Noel De Leon 21 years old. De Leon had a 0-4 record while pitching in 39.2 innings of relief, had a 2.95 ERA, 1 save, and sported a 1.31 WHIP.  

Jose Fermin 19 years old. Fermin had a 4-3 record while pitching in 38.1 innings, had a 6.10 ERA, and carried a 1.83 WHIP.

Ney Dominguez. 18 years old. Dominguez had a 1-2 record while pitching 37.1 innings, had a 6.27 ERA, and showed a 2.01 WHIP.  

Jose Torres. 18 years old. Torres had a 3-3 record while pitching in 35.3 innings, had a 5.80 ERA, and carried a 1.40 WHIP.

Ronny Ozoria 20 years old. Ozoria had a 2-1 record while pitching in 32.1 innings, had a 6.68 ERA, and fronted a 1.61 WHIP.  

Junior Rodriguez 20 years old. Rodriguez had a 3-3 record while pitching in 30.1 innings all in relief, had a 2.67 ERA, 8 saves (team leader), and sported a 1.42 WHIP.

Genaro Galan. 21 years old. Galan had a 0-1 record while pitching in 29.2 innings, had a 4.55 ERA., and carried a 1.85 WHIP.  

Joice Linares. 19 years old. Linares had a 2-1 record while pitching in 28 innings pitched, had a 4.82 ERA, and fronted 1.32 WHIP.

Robinson Reyes. 21 years old. Reyes had a 0-1 record while pitching in 17.1 innings, had a 6.75 ERA, and fronted a 1.85 WHIP.  

Joaquin Santamaria. 20 years old. Santamaria had a 1-2 record while pitching 16.2 innings, had a 6.48 ERA, and showed a 2.22 WHIP.

Juan Pie. 19 years old. Pie had a 2-0 record while pitching in 15 innings all in relief, had a 3.00 ERA, and carried a 1.53 WHIP.  

Joselo Jasco. 21 years old. Jasco had a 1-3  record while pitching in 13.1 inning all in relief, had a 8.10 ERA, and sported a 2.17 WHIP.

Yamal Thomas. 19 years old. Thomas had a 1-0 record while pitching 13.1 innings, had a 6.75 ERA, and showed a 2.10 WHIP.  

Carlos Cedeno 19 years old. Cedeno had a 0-1 record while pitching in 5.0 innings pitched, had a 12.60 ERA, and showed a 2.40 WHIP.
