Today, we will talk about the Venezuelan Summer League Rays. The VSL Rays went 41-28 for the season in what is basically the first stop for any potential international signee who hails from the Venezuela. The VSL Rays actually went on to win the VSL Championship, taking 2 of 3 games from the favored VSL Pirates. Today, we will take a look at the positional players.

Rules?  Players have to have played in at least 25 games to qualify for the vote.  

Here is a list of all the positional players who appeared this year for the 2009 VSL Rays:

(RF) Weston Silva.  Silva played 7 games where he had 6 hits, 1 RBI, and batted .429.

(C ) Alejandro Segovia.  Segovia played 50 games where had 66 hits, 16 doubles, 7 HRs, 40 RBIs, and batted .349.

(3B) Roan Salas. Salas played in 61 games where he had 75 hits, 19 doubles, 3 triples, 15 HRs, and batted .338.

(SS) Hector Guevera.  Guevara played in 54 games where he had 68 hits, 7 doubles, 2 triples, 8 HRs, 36 RBIs, and batted .330.

(SS) Leonardo Reginatto.  Reginatto played in 54 games where he had 61 hits, 7 doubles, 2 triples, 1 home run, 29 RBIs, and batted .328.

(C )Omar Narvaez.  . Narvaez played in 47 games where he 52 hits, 7 doubles, 3 triples, 27 RBIs, and batted .315.

(2B) Jose Comenares.   Comanares played 62 games where he had 67 hits, 13 doubles, 8 HRs, 42 RBIs, and batted .298.

(RF)Darwin Maldonado.  Maldonado played in 48 games where he had 44 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 7 HRs, and batted .297.

(LF) Ronald Acosta.  Acosta played 45 games where he had 44 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 7 homeruns, and batted .264.

(CF) Nahum Hernandez. . Hernandez played in 52 games where he had 41 hits, 8 doubles, 4 HRs, 21 RBIs, .258.

(C ) Wilmer Dominguez. . Dominguez played in 37 games where he had 26 hits, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 1 HRs, and batted. 252.

(LF) Mauricio Nagahashi.  Nagahashi played in 37 games where he had 27 hits, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 2 HRs, and batted .245.

(SS) Keiverson Reyes.  Reyes played in 43 games where he had 28 hits, 7 doubles, 4 HRs, and batted .241.

(RF) Ismel Antunez. . Antunez played in 41 games where he had 22 hits, 3 doubles, and batted .237.

(RF) Jonathan Quinonez. . Quinonez played in 25 games where he had 23 hits, 7 doubles, 2 triples, 2 HRs, and batted .232.

(LF) Federico Eder.  Eder playe din 26 games where had 13 hits, 5 doubles, and batted .203.

(DH) Franklin Paz.. Paz played in 23 games where he had 10 hits, 4 doubles, and batted .185.

(3B) Leopoldo Correa. Correa played in 27 games where he had 9 hits, 2 doubles , 1 triple, 2 HRs, and batted .161.

(RF) Franklin Alcala. Alcala played in 12 games where he had 3 hits and batted .086.
