Today, we will talk about the Gulf Coast League Rays. The GCL Rays went 19-36 for the season finishing last in the division.

Rules?  Players have to have pitched in at least 25 games to qualify for the vote.  

Here is a list of all the pitchers who appeared this year for the 2009 GCL Rays:

Wilmer Almonte. 20 years old. Almonte went 3-2 with a 3.32 ERA over 62.1 innings and had a 1.12 WHIP.

Brad Furdal. 19 years old. Furdal went 1-5 with a 3.86 ERA over 51.1 innings and sported a 1.42 WHIP.

Elizer Suero. 20 years old. Suero went 2-3 with a 3.38 ERA pver 50.2 innings and flashed a 1.18 WHIP.

Victor Mateo. 20 years old. Mateo went 3-4 with a 1.98 ERA over 50 innings and fronted a 1.02 WHIP.

Enny Romero. 18 years old. Romero went 2-4 and had a 4.81 ERA over 39.1 innings and carried a 1.50 WHIP.

Jacob Partridge. 19 years old. Partridge went 0-2 with a 1.75 ERA over 36 innings, 1 complete game, and flashed a 1.08 WHIP.

Andrew Bellatti. 18 years old. Bellatti went 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA over 29.1 innings and showed a 1.26 WHIP.

Jose Molina. 18 years old. Molina went 2-3 with a 6.00 ERA over 24 innings and carried a 1.71 WHIP.

Shawn Smith. 19 years old. Smith went 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA over 21 innings and had a 1.52 WHIP.

Jose Monegro. 19 years old. Monegro went 2-5 with a 5.40 ERA over 20 inning and flashed a 1.55 WHIP.

Aneuris Mercedes. 22 years old. Mercedes had a 2.75 ERA over 19.2 innings, with 4 saves, and carried a 1.37 WHIP.

Luis Yendis. 20 years old. Yendis had a 1-1 record with a 9.64 ERA over 14 innings and carried a 2.36 WHIP.

Matt Swilley. 19 years old. Swilley went 1-1 with a 5.91 ERA over 10.2 innings pitched and fronted a 2.16 WHIP.

Elvin Perez. 23 years old. Perez had a 9.53 ERA over 5.2 innings of work and crafted a 2.65 WHIP.

Marcus Proctor. 18 years old. Proctor went 0-1 with a 1.80 ERA over 5 innings and had a 0.80 WHIP.

Jose De La Cruz. 22 years old. De La Cruz had a 30.86 ERA over 2.1 innings and managed a 3.43 WHIP.

Kevin James. 19 years old. James pitched 1 inning and had a 1.00 WHIP.
