The Candidates:
Aaron Ledesma (1998-1999), Gerald Williams (1999-2000), Jason Conti (2002), Joey Gathright (2004-2006)
Aaron Ledesma was originally selected from the Baltimore Orioles in the 1997 Expansion Draft. Ledesma would go on to play in 188 games for the Devil Rays where he would have 175 hits, 31 doubles, 3 triples, 59 RBIs, and batted .295. Ledesma would be traded to the Colorado Rockies along with Rolando Arrojo for Vinny Castilla, in 1999.
Gerald Williams would play in 208 games where he would have 221 hits, 47 doubles, 2 triples, 25 homeruns, 106 RBIs, and batted .256.
Jason Conti was aquired along with Nick Bierbrodt from the Arizona Diamondbacks, in 2001, for Mike DiFelice and Albie Lopez. Conti played in 78 games where he had 57 hits, 15 doubles, 2 triples, 3 homeruns, 21 RBIs, and batted .257. Conti was later traded in 2003 to the Milwaukee Brewers for Javier Valitine.
Joey Gathright wore the number "4" while with the Devil Rays in 2006 before he was traded along with Fernando Cortez for J.P Howell from the Kansas City Royals, in 2006. In 2006 Gathright would play in 55 games where he would have 31 hits, 6 doubles, 13 RBIs, 12 stolen bases, and batted .201.

I have to go w/ Ledesma on this one.
Although Williams has props for going after Pedro.

I'm actually kinda sad we're almost done with these
They’ve kept me quite entertained this offseason.
Nice work.
Thank you very much.
I have had fun doing these. I have an idea of another pole that I can do. They are a nice way to remember some of the more forgettable players we have had throughout the years.
Blah!

Pedro went down on a ghost punch.
Also, this was the day I quit on the Devil Rays.
I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.
Tight race boys
Needs some more voters.

I'm stunned that anybody voted for Joey Gathright. It's absurd.
I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.
