Troy Percival Expects to be Ready By Opening Day
"I feel better now than I did at any point last year,'' Percival said. "My back was killing me last year. I still have back pain but I don't have the things that go with it. My legs last year were really numb, they were shaking all the time. I have all the strength back in my legs. That's probably the biggest bonus that I've noticed.''
I hope he's telling the truth

Please lose 40 lbs
And
I’ve already been off the mound twice. I get really stiff for about two hours after I’m done, but I think that’s pretty good considering I had 5 1/2 hours of back surgery.’’
"I still have back pain...."
This is all I see out of that quote…..we will wait till spring training to see if he is telling all
Mound Visit

and just beat Percy up a little, just hurt his back enough to make him stay on the DL for a while.
Evan Longoria and David Price - the fight for my heart
I've never had back surgery so I don't know how long the recovery time is for something like this.
I know that I’ve pulled the muscles in my lower back pretty badly once; and that the pain persisted for several months. It was bad enough that I went on a 6 week rehab training regimine to improve my lower-back strength and get rid of the pain.
