Rumor is both start off in AAA
Not that I believe it, especially with Wieters but it will be awesome when Price is pitching and Wieters come to the plate.

This article would imply that a pitcher that does go on to be a phenomenal success is worth that much more
Wang is a phenomenal author when it comes to risk management, but I think he could have included the risk-reward of developing an Ace pitcher. Though less likely than the Superstar batter, Supply and Demand would say that Price would be worth more if he makes good on his promise. This is just saying that the likelihood of him doing so is reduced, due to the volatility of his predecessors. This goes hand-in-hand very nicely with Ryan’s article from about a week ago HERE
Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up that much.

Well I think most will agree both are once-in-a-decade/generation type prospects.
The Fireballing-lefty that has the potential to dominate(who has already shown flashes of brilliance in the playoffs), or the catcher who is an offensive and defensive force.
"Once-in-a-decade" is waaaaaay overused
Just in terms of LHP, a lot of people would probably take Kershaw over Price.

I like Kershaw a lot
His curve is absolutely filthy but I would choose to keep Price if I was given the choice.

Agreed
The only pitcher I’ve used the term with this decade was Lincecum, and even that is now looking like a bit of a stretch.

Exactly, you have Lincecum
But now everyone is saying Strasburg is a once-in-a-decade guy(which, if he hits he ceiling, he actually probably is).

No doubt Kershaw is a great pitcher.
I was gonna say the only guy that I think could give Price a run for his money would be Lincecum, kids amazing.
Let's be honest....
If given the choice between Lincecum and Price, Lincecum wins out. Price pitched very well last season, but had no where near the success Lincecum enjoyed in the minors. Having said that, Lincecum has already achieved true #1 status at the MLB level. Price PROJECTS to be a #1, but still has to reach that level.
I think a big part of it is that people look at Lincecum and see
a future Rich Harden type guy. Fairly or not, he will be judged by that lean frame. Personally, I think he’s ridiculous and hope the best for him, but Tiny Tim looks like that kid from Rookie of the Year whereas Price looks like a freaking man baby.
Why yes, I am this big of an asshole in person.

I agree...
But it is so difficult to tell who will be able to stay healthy. I remember when Mark Prior came out, he was deemed to have “perfect” mechanics. And he had the “body” of the protypical pitcher…
And he had Dusty Baker for a coach
