These range from Lame to Super Lame

but I wanted to see what other thoughts we could come up with on this years slogan. I’m sure it’ll be announced soon, but c’mon bring it.

Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up that much.

That's what I was thinking

Bacon is just a great word and when you think about you would do anything for that bacon. Anything.

Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up that much.

The Lightning have more Stanley Cups, The B’s have been a laughingstock, their hot start will lead to a disappointing finish this season, Joe Thornton will win another MVP, Marc Savard is going to get exposed for what he is, the Bruins have the stupidest looking jerseys, the name of their arena is TD BankNorth Garden (arguably the stupidest name outside of Maxi Tampax stadium), and when you go to this shitty arena you’re surrounded by thousands of chowds that would rather get drunk and beat their women than do something to your face (unless of course they have at least 4 buddies with them). Good luck Bruins fans.

I can answer that..

Those stories got brought over in the archives from my old site when I made the switch over to SBN. When I first started my blog it was a general sports blog before I started to focus solely on hockey. The “10 reasons to hate the Rays” was a response to the guy from the St. Pete Times that wrote “10 reasons hate the Red Sox”. I’m glad my posts still have life all these months later.

It's not as if Tom Jones picked on Boston specifically

He did the 10 things bit for all of the Rays playoff opponents; so he wrote one for the White Sox and one for the Phillies too. In addition, he did a bunch more 10 things stories (10 reasons it was cooler to be a Rays fan then a Buccanners fan, etc. ad nauseum). Also, your response was not unique; all three cities had writers that posted ‘response’ articles and all three of them used the same canned criticisms of crappy stadium, crappy support, Raymond, Maddon’s glasses. I don’t know why SRQ pointed yours out specifically though.

I write a hockey-only blog now, but SBN decided to bring over all the archives from my old site, not just the hockey posts. Over the summer I did a “10 things to hate” for every team in the AL…and yes a lot of my responses were the same criticisms that everyone else has about the Rays. I will admit it wasn’t the most original post I have ever written.

I get a lot of random traffic from around SBN because I used to write about a lot of different sports.
