CF Fernando Perez has left Tuesday’s game in the first inning after hurting himself trying to make a diving catch in shallow centerfield.

Perez, who appeared to injure his left wrist on the attempted grab of a Travis Snider liner, was attended to by trainers in the outfield before walking into the clubhouse.

Garza said he felt good during his spring debut, and though he gave up three runs on three hits, he felt he locating his fastball well, threw his slider at times. “Everything felt fine.” The only thing, however, he said he didn’t throw his breaking ball how he wanted to.

Garza said he tried to ease back at first and not throw full throttle in his first spring start, but after the Jays picked up three straight hits, he got a little “mad” and amped up, changing this up a little bit.
