B.J. Upton hopes to be ready for opener
"This last week has really progressed,'' Upton said. "I came out yesterday and pretty much took the swing that I've been looking to take all sping. So I think that's why we're getting into a game situation today.''
Although he admits he still may need that extra week of time.

I believe if they were opening
at home or in a warmweather place, BJ would be more likely to play
Cold weather could be viewed as a possible hindrance
Each of the first two opening series has a day game
So there may be safe compromises to be made
