B.J. Upton To Be Placed On 15-Day DL
No surprise here, but B.J. Upton will be added to the 15-Day DL along with Jason Isringhausen, Chad Bradford and Fernando Perez. Perez and Bradford could be moved to the 60-Day DL later if an addition 40-man roster spot is needed. The DL stints will be retroactive to March 27th. We've discussed the signficance of that date before. Upton will be eligible to return on April 11th with all eyes set on the April 13th home opener as his return. In the meantime, Upton is expected to stick around in Port Charlotte and work with the Class-A Stone Crabs.

So, three more players to decide on.
Niemann/Hammel/Cormier.

everything so far has been expected and good
If Friedman can work out a trade and keep Cormier, he did a perfect job…..again.

The Rockies are looking for pitching. The top target is Jason Hammel of the Rays

We're not getting Carlos Gonzalez or Ian Stewart
The Rays are looking at lower level(AA and below) for prospects to restock the bottom of our own minor leagues.

ok
this makes sense. I’ll stop screaming Stewart

why stop screaming stewart?
there’s no indication that the Rays are looking toward low minor leaguers, people saying that are just speculating. Stewart would be awesome, and i think still has options left, he would be a steal if we could trade Hammell for him.

Yup, that's it.
Tampa’s depth is such that super-prospect David Price will open the season in Triple-A. But the Rays recognize a chance to deal from strength and add to their system. They are looking at Rockies prospects from the Double-A level down.
Also: look at the names listed for the Pads, whether that’s legit or not, they were all sub-AA.

that says nothing to me,
except that the only prospects the rockies have that we are interested happen to be in AA and down. the Pads list was already retorted as false.
