It's better than Ezra

Do what you love to do and give it your very best. Whether it's business or baseball, or the theater, or any field. If you don't love what you're doing and you can't give it your best, get out of it. Life is too short. You'll be an old man before you know it.

Gives the hitter something else to watch out for

When he has less than his best stuff, he needs that.

Vogt early, Vogt often.

by Brickhaus on Apr 12, 2009 4:36 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

And often times breaking stuff can be easier to locate

because it’s softer. Now it’s a given it’s not going to be a plus pitch or even an average pitch if you throw your breaking stuff soft, but a get me over pitch will often get the job done (about 70% of the time actually) especially in this situation where a run or 6 won’t hurt anything.

Tools Whore

by Tyler on Apr 12, 2009 4:38 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Exactly

Nobody is saying his fastball isn’t good, but he didn’t have great velocity today and his control was all over the place. On a few of those two strike counts, something offspeed would of seriously helped when all the hitters have seen are fastballs.

Hello.
