I want to see him play a whole season with out major injury.
He dominated in Columbus for 99 games and was out for the season. He had some glimpses of greatness in Vero last year and then in the AFL. Hopefully he breaks back out this season. Go get ’em Desmond!

Moore with a bounce back night.

C'mon glass, it's an observation
I know i’s hindsight, but i wish we had Hammel in thepen or as a 5th SP right now
Why?
He wouldn’t have pitched last night. Niemann has had one bad inning, and we will know more tonight. If Aneury lights it up in AA and ends up as a useful BP arm down the road then the trade worked out great. If not we still would have lost Cormier who looks like one of our most reliable relievers. If we could have traded Wheeler/Percival, then yeah I would regret not trading Hammel.
How long is Niemann's rope?
and remember i said ‘so far’
In this case, some Rockies fans are saying the same about Aneury.
Hammel’s been poor in 2 innings.

The ideal move would have been...
Release Percy to keep Hammel
When Price is good to go move Neimann to the pen and get rid of Wheeler
That would have given us the best chance of winning this year….
If we were the Yankees or the Sox or the Dodgers we could have done that
We can’t afford to eat 7.5M dollars in sunk cost. Even if they are pitching below replacement level

meh, when that 7.5 million albatross might cost you the chance at 15 mil in the post season
You cut his ass.
I'm curious where you got this 15M figure from

meh, guess I read it somewhere, probably exaggerated.
The Sox made 8.7 million when they won their second title, 7 mil of which came from the seven game series against Cleveland. We probably earned that much from the ALCS last year.
Also, Stu said that the playoffs basically paid for this year’s jump in payroll.
thx

Jennings swipes 3 bags
including home….and this thread devolves into a reliever discussion. Man that loss last night really tore some people up.
