Tedious Night for Scott Kazmir
This basically says it all:

That's a ton of yellow within the normalized zone.
Kaz was off from the first pitch, actually the first 10. It took him until a 2-0 count versus the third batter of the game to get a strike call. It was one of those nights. Didn't help matters much that Kazmir lacked a few miles on his fastball nor that Kazmir was going up against a right-handed heavy lineup.
His next start comes against Oakland, in Oakland.

Hey, Brad Lidge blew the save
and has a 9 ERA now
regression for all!
2010 Rotation: 1. Shields 2. Kazmir 3. Garza 4. Price 5. Davis with Hellickson knocking on the door, it keeps getting better and better
High? Outside?
When batters have only to concern themselves with low & inside and sight lines do not change it becomes much easier to hit any pitch from any pitcher.
Not one ball higher than the strike zone and only going outside on LH batters just doesn’t work.
