Busch was impressed with the Dome. "It's a very impressive ballpark," he told reporters. "For a building of this size, it creates an intimate atmosphere." The Giants official insisted St. Petersburg was not a pawn to get something better out of San Francisco. "If we were going to use the possibility of leaving to leverage something, we would have done it 10 years ago," he said.

Ditto, he screwed over both MLB cities
First Tampa Bay by helping break the Giants deal, then Miami with his post-World Series fire sale.
And he never did anything positive for the Lolphins, either, except hire Bill Parcells and sell the team.

Well, H. Wayne is a good business man.
That means he is a big asshole when it comes to the numbers game. HE cares mainly about the bottom-line, that’s all.

See, but I don't care how good a business man he is/was. I only care that he screwed us out of a MLB franchise.
Granted, it’s a moot point since we got the Rays, but at the time I was livid.

I respect H. Wayne more then I do Mr. Culverhouse.
Even Vince Namoli made a half-ass attempt to be competitive. How was Vince and Chuck to know that Jaun Guzman, Vinny Castilla, Roberto Alomar, and Kevin Stocker wouldn’t work out. H. Wayne bought a championship then sold the team for crap in return. H. Wayne screwed us out of a team before the Yankees moved in around the same time. And, H Wayne screwed the Tampa Bay area out of possible playing in the NL. If I were wearing a suit, I would respect him. When i wear my hat of fan, I don’t like him or his “contributions” to the state of Florida as a whole.
