Way to go Sonny.

Way to give our team a chance to win. He should definately NOT be in Durham and try to regain his form.

This is how the game has to be played. Come on boys. Let’s get it together. Come on Rays.

In the name of Shinji Mori, we shall win!

by thebaddancingraysfan on Apr 26, 2009 5:34 PM EDT reply actions

If we didn't have Price waiting.

I would say “Sonny will figure it out.” I am a Rays fan. That’s what I have done year in and year out. We have better options then Sonny. For whatever reason Sonny has not put it together. The Rays are defending a AL Championship. With a on again off again offense they do not have time to let sonny find his winning stuff. Sonny was and will never be a dominate front of the rotation guy. Sonny is a change of pace starter who uses deception to allow the defense to get outs. Sonny has not done that this year. With Price waiting in the wings, Sonny needs to be sent down.

In the name of Shinji Mori, we shall win!

by thebaddancingraysfan on Apr 26, 2009 5:41 PM EDT up reply actions

Slaps head.

And you haven’t obviously paid attention to anything I have said in the past on the subject with Niemann going to the pen. Do I think Percy is done, just about.

This team is a bunch of lolligaggers.

The lolligag around the infield, they lolligag around the outfield, they throw lolligagging slop on the mound. You know that that makes them?

Larry??

RJ

To clarify -

Shandler uses BABIP and Strand Rate as part of xERA to correct back towards the mean (good luck and bad luck).

However pitchers DO have some effect on BABIP, and even Bill James said this after Voros McCracken’s seminal study. Not much of course, and I have yet to see a good study which shows how some pitchers BABIP’s should be higher or lower. But in time, someone will figure it out.

by RayFanNY on Apr 26, 2009 5:37 PM EDT reply actions

Okay. Thanks for clarifying.

I’m still going to stick with tRA though. I like the idea of having the batted ball type count for something.

by R.J. Anderson on Apr 26, 2009 5:38 PM EDT up reply actions

It does with xERA too

I know Shandler has said batters/pitchers can control GB/Fly ratio, but LD% seems random as a portion of Fly. I’m pretty sure he suspects there is some control over it, but no stats to back it up yet

GETS ANGRY AND INSULTS EVERYONE CUZ WE ARE LOSING

WE SEE HOW WELL THIS HAS WORED omglol

2010 Rotation: 1. Shields 2. Kazmir 3. Garza 4. Price 5. Davis with Hellickson knocking on the door, it keeps getting better and better

by joeybw on Apr 26, 2009 5:38 PM EDT reply actions

No aspect of the team has been playing well

But I think the bulk of the blame has to go on the offense. We score virtually nothing way too often. We just don’t hit the ball very well. BJ hasn’t hit worth a shit. Thank God he walks. But at some point he actually has to get a hit. CC just blows now. Longo and Pena are just too streaky. At least it seems like it. Navi can’t hit the ocean from the beach. Christ we just need to score some runs.

How hard is it to get some guys on and then get a legitimate base hit to score some runs?

by matthan on Apr 26, 2009 5:38 PM EDT reply actions

I'm betting my car's pink slip on Tuesday's game

Vs Liriano…….we haven’t hit any lefty starter since the 1st game against Lester. A collection of shitheads have shut down this offense from the left-side. Same old same old….:(

by Jason Collette on Apr 26, 2009 5:38 PM EDT reply actions

Liriano is pitching very poorly now

But well we seem to make everyone a hall of famer…

have to admit I started him on my fantasy team today. And it looks like he just blew up my ERA/oppOBA.

His OBP is right about where it should be. Just need the SLG to come around, which I hope it will soon. He certainly can’t control whether a grounder goes right to the SS

Gay Male Term. Dominant Bottom. While a bottom is usually submissive to his partner, a power bottom enjoys maintaining control over the top and/or the penetration, the normally dominant role in gay male sex. Power bottoms supposedly have skilled tongues. (They give the best blow jobs fellatio and rim jobs analingus.)

A gay boy who takes control when he’s getting fucked in the ass.
Josh: Dillon, throw some lube on that shit hole you power bottom!
Dillon: I already used your cum and fingered it up for your small cock.
Josh: Get your fingers out of my ass and put them back in your’s where they belong!
Dillon: But I love the smell of your shit on my fingers!
Josh: Let’s go to Katz’s and find some ugly fat girls upstairs.
Dillon: I don’t want the fat girls, I want the waiter Bryan.
Josh: I want the guy with the big long beard behind us to put his beard in my asshole.
Dillon & Josh: Payback is a bitch, sorry Angela.

Not to be confused with a Power Booty
a woman that has muscle control in her booty can make her booty clap at will, not jiggle or shake but clap and its natural when she’s walking or dancing this the reason for the name Power-Booty, she normally has a small waist with wide heart shape hips & booty similar to a pear or onion.
My girlfriend Mercedes has a Power-Booty she can walk down the street, stop then just make her booty clap, like we clap our hands. Very few girls in rap videos can make there booty clap not jiggle, or shake but clap those are the ones with a power booty.

Love Howell

Either one of them closing, with the other as a setup, would be fine with me.

by RayFanNY on Apr 26, 2009 6:18 PM EDT up reply actions

For it to be a reverse Ankiel...

Swisher would need to throw his bat to the backstop very erratically

by RayFanNY on Apr 26, 2009 6:24 PM EDT up reply actions

The thing with Howell is

nobody saw his fantastic relief ability coming. He was a disappointment as a starter, but he owns as a short reliever. Sonnanstine might be similar. It might work out very well for him in the pen.
