Notice the 'hump' here? It almost looks like a curveball would.
And there's a 10 MPH difference between those two pitches. No wonder Nelson can generate swinging strikes at an above average rate consistently.

the change is becoming a very effective and often used pitch
I notice more and more RHP using it to get LH hitters out
