Come on real BJ, Longo, Pena and Barty! Any extra offense would be nice, too.

We need to do better than 5-3
6-2 should be like a minimum to get some momentum going, get out of a losing record & beat up the bad teams.

this team's hitting has been flat-out inconsistent.

by R.J. Anderson on May 14, 2009 8:29 PM EDT up reply actions
What exactly are you pinning on him?
Burrell/Upton/Navarro’s slow starts? Does he get credit for Bartlett/Longoria/Pena then?
I’m pretty sure the spread between the best hitting coach in the league and the worst is minimal.
by R.J. Anderson on May 14, 2009 8:31 PM EDT up reply actions
i understand those points, but inconsistent hitting has been a big problem for this team.
whether it’s directly attributable to henderson is unclear, but he’s the guy in charge of the team’s hitting, and there has to be a fall guy. it’s the same as when a manager gets fired. i’m not saying we should fire hendu, but this leaves much to be desired.

2010 Rotation: 1. Shields 2. Kazmir 3. Garza 4. Price 5. Davis with Hellickson knocking on the door, it keeps getting better and better
I feel like if we brought up some of our AAA we'd easily be the best team in baseball.
Obviously that’d be cutting back on their development, but if the Rays were focused solely on winning a pennant this year…
Jaso backing up Navs, Davis in the pen (Wheeler), Talbot in the pen (Percy), Niemann in the pen (Cormier), Price in the rotation, Joyce in RF… That’s fucking hot.
... Because there's no reason to think he isn't an above average player?
In terms of the 25 man, he’s certainly an upgrade over Kapler.
He's the next Kapler
He’s never going to break out or anything, he’s just going to be “meh”.
I will eat my words if he doesn’t, but he won’t.
Not really.
It’s insane to think Joyce will ever amount to anything near Evan, who some are calling the best player in the MLB, even better than Pujols.
It is completely.
You have no reason to dismiss Joyce, yet you continue to do so without providing any type of information as to why you think he won’t atleast be a 3-win player.
But why should I jump to the conclusion that he's going to be amazing?
I don’t have to proove my point. I’m saying he’s going to be mediocre. I can’t proove anything until he actually gets in the majors.
do you honestly think people here think hes the next Evan?
come on now…
2010 Rotation: 1. Shields 2. Kazmir 3. Garza 4. Price 5. Davis with Hellickson knocking on the door, it keeps getting better and better

2010 Rotation: 1. Shields 2. Kazmir 3. Garza 4. Price 5. Davis with Hellickson knocking on the door, it keeps getting better and better

otherwise that’s a lot of pressure on Garza to go 7+ with the team having so many problems.
Seriously
Let’s just get this game over with. This is an embarassment. Maybe we should put in Percival and go for an overuse injury.
How in the hell do we have a WE% of 1.
What team has came back from nine runs at home this late in the game?
Since we are racing for third place
I say root for Toronto. Besides, it’s great to watch Yankee fans squirm like worms on a hook when their best laid plans go awry.
Lack of furries killed us tonight
Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.
Evan
Best keeper league draft pick I ever made
Lack of Rally Fries :<

Good to see you fight out of these guys.
I feel a lot more comfortable even if we end up losing this game.
Was grounding out to 2nd what you had in mind?

It's Michel Hernandez.
I expected less than that.

Hey guys!
Watching Orlando take the lead over the Celtics. What’d I miss?
Meet the Cleveland Bullpen
Better known as the Troy Percival Improv
Good point
Didn’t we blow a 6 run lead in the bottom of the 9th in 2007? I seem to remember going ape shit over something liket that.
Sonnanstine's debut in Toronto.
Then that Saturday we blow a Howell start in Miami.

That was the most frustrating season of all time.
We lost so many games we were actually competitive in.
Fossum, Corcoran, Orvella, and Camp
I think Camp got the only out that inning

I would love to see Camp with this defense.

Let's hope we can still come back tonight
But it feels to me like the series momentum changed big time. Cleveland knows no lead is safe against us.
Todd's all ready contracted every disease known to man.
I bet he doesn’t even feel anything down there anymore.
I like the Bruins kinda
It’s the racist hicks that make me hate boston sports, sans the Red Sox who are just terrible
BA mock draft:
30. RAYS. The Rays don’t have many pressing needs besides
catcher, and backstops will start to provide some of the best value
in the draft at this point. Besides Stassi and Sanchez, other
catching possibilities include Myers and Arizona high schooler Tommy
Joseph.
Projected Pick: TONY SANCHEZ.
Bruins are awesome
So are the Patriots.
But their the New England Patriots, so it’s okay to like them.
The Magic were offered to St. Pete for purchase and the fucknuts in charge declined.
