Poor Patrick
I guess this means more “Zorilla” as the DH?? Oh boy, our luck.
Put Tampa Bay back on our road uniforms!!
Not sure why we'd bring up a pitcher
when we need bats to pinch it in NL interleague play next weekend.
The bullpen
must be gassed after this series. They pitched 16 innings in the 4 games, just 4 innings less than the starters did. My guess is the Rays think they need another arm for the upcoming A’s games, especially with Niemann going tomorrow and Kazmir on Wednesday. Niemann has gone 3, 3.1 and 5 innings in his last 3 games and Kazmir has managed 6.1, 5 & 3.1. So we can expect the bullpen to have to cover at least 7-9 innings in those two games alone.
Honestly, I expected Kazmir to go to the DL for Izzy.

I figured we would do it after Kaz' start and manage it so another 'injury' coincides with Kazmir's start.
Ideally to a reliever like Percival/Wheeler. Call up Price, etc.

Uh, this should of been Price
I hear Niemann’s neck is stiff also, its gonna start hurting after tomorrow’s start
2010 Rotation: 1. Shields 2. Kazmir 3. Garza 4. Price 5. Davis with Hellickson knocking on the door, it keeps getting better and better
This isn't a bad thing
Our bullpen is roasted, toasted and burnt to a crisp right now. See how Niemann does, and decide whether to send him or Sonny down in favor of Price.
AC/DC + Tampa Bay Rays = Big Balls on a Budget
Niemann has no options
but I think Sonnanstine does have some. In fact, he may have three left.
Yeah, Sonny has several options still left.
Tools Whore
Why do we want a reliever that has essentially the same stuff as Izzy without any experience.
I’m not big on experience when there’s a difference in talent level, but it does matter when they have the same talent level.
Tools Whore
There's more to pitching than stuff.
And you know damn well Thayer doesn’t come with the sense of entitlement that Isringhausen and Percival seemingly have.

Like Chad Bradford in the White Sox organization.
Great numbers, but nobody cared because he didn’t throw 95.
Speaking of the Chadford, I can’t wait till he gets back. We’re gonna have a real roster issue when Bradford’s healthy, Burrell’s healthy, and Price is on his way up.
If by roster issue you mean getting rid of the chaff.
Until Next Time,
